Jungle Breeze Iced Mocha Recipe: A Sweet, Chilled Coffee Treat with a Hint of the Wild

If you're after a refreshing drink that still brings all the flavour and comfort of your favourite coffee, let me introduce you to the Jungle Breeze Iced Mocha. It’s creamy, chocolatey, and slightly indulgent—but still lets the beautiful characteristics of the coffee shine through.

Using our light roast Honduran single origin, this recipe draws on Jungle Breeze’s natural chocolatey sweetness and soft nutty base, with just a touch of acidity to keep it bright and balanced. It’s a simple but luxurious iced drink that’s perfect for warm afternoons, lazy weekends, or as a pick-me-up when you're after something just a little bit special.

What You’ll Need

Equipment

  • Espresso machine or moka pot (for concentrated coffee)

  • Coffee grinder (if using whole beans)

  • Tall glass

  • Small saucepan or microwave-safe jug

  • Spoon or small whisk

Ingredients

  • 30ml espresso or strong brewed Jungle Breeze

  • 150ml milk (dairy or plant-based – oat milk works beautifully)

  • 1 tbsp good quality cocoa powder

  • 1–2 tsp sugar or simple syrup (adjust to taste)

  • Ice cubes

  • Optional: whipped cream or grated chocolate to top

How to Make It

Step 1: Brew Your Coffee
Use freshly ground Jungle Breeze beans to pull a single shot of espresso (30ml). A moka pot or AeroPress works well if you don’t have an espresso machine—just make sure it’s strong and bold enough to stand up to the milk and chocolate.

Step 2: Make the Chocolate Mix
In a small saucepan or jug, whisk together 1 tbsp cocoa powder and sugar/simple syrup with just a splash of hot water until it becomes a smooth paste. This will melt into the milk better and give you a rich chocolate flavour without lumps.

Step 3: Combine with Milk
Add the milk to the chocolate mixture and stir well. If you like your mocha a little warmer before chilling, heat the milk slightly—but if you’re going for a fully cold brew, just stir it through cold milk until well mixed.

Step 4: Assemble the Drink
Fill your glass with ice cubes, pour in your fresh espresso, then top it with the chocolate milk mixture. Stir gently to combine.

Step 5: Optional Indulgence
Top with a swirl of whipped cream and a little grated dark chocolate or cocoa powder for a café-style finish. Totally optional—but highly recommended.

Why Jungle Breeze Works So Well

Jungle Breeze already leans into sweet chocolate and nutty flavours, so it naturally pairs beautifully with a touch of cocoa. The light roast keeps the drink clean and refreshing, never too heavy, and the gentle acidity stops it becoming overly sweet or flat. It’s the kind of iced coffee that feels thoughtful, elevated, and easy to enjoy—even if you’re just drinking it in your garden.

Plus, with Bird Friendly, Organic and Fairtrade certifications, it’s a drink that does good while tasting great. A perfect sip of summer with the vibrancy of Honduras in every glass.

Let us know how it turns out—or how you make it your own! 🦜☕
