One of the founders, Carlie, a passionate advocate for parrot conservation, has witnessed firsthand the devastating effects of traditional coffee farming on parrot populations, which have reached critically low numbers. Many of these vibrant, intelligent birds are losing their habitats to deforestation driven by unsustainable farming practices.

We work directly with the farmers who supply our coffee, forging personal relationships built on shared values. By educating these farmers about the vital role parrots play in their ecosystems and the specific habitat needs these birds require to thrive, we encourage the adoption of ethical farming practices. This includes sustainable techniques that preserve biodiversity and protect wildlife, with a focus on preserving habitats critical to parrot populations.

Most of the farms we partner with grow their coffee under the shade of native trees. This shade-grown method mimics natural forest conditions, supporting not only parrots but also countless other wild birds and animals. Shade-grown coffee reduces deforestation and creates a haven for wildlife, fostering an ecosystem where nature and farming coexist harmoniously.

In addition to advocating for sustainable farming, we allocate over 5% of our profits to parrot conservation charities and projects in the regions where our coffee is grown. In 2025, our contributions will go to Macaw Mountain in Honduras, a world-class bird park and rescue centre that specialises in rehabilitating and reintroducing parrots into the wild. Macaw Mountain is renowned for its efforts in preserving endangered parrot species, offering sanctuary to rescued birds, and educating local communities about conservation.

Scarlet macaw populations in Honduras have reached critically low levels, but organisations like Macaw Mountain are tirelessly working to restore their numbers and once again fill the skies with these magnificent birds. Inspired by the vibrant beauty of the scarlet macaw, our Jungle Breeze Single Origin Luxury Coffee is harvested from ethical farms in Honduras. This exceptional speciality coffee not only celebrates the unique flavours of the region but also supports sustainable practices that help protect the scarlet macaw and its natural habitat.

Our bold and confident Dark Roast, Midnight Canopy, embodies the strength and individuality of the Military Macaw, offering a flavour as unique as the bird itself.
