There’s something deeply comforting about a warm, spiced coffee—especially when it’s made with a bean as layered and expressive as Morning Mist. This Spiced Honey Latte brings out the earthy chocolate tones and orange-like brightness of our Kenyan single origin and pairs them with just the right amount of cinnamon, cardamom, and natural honey to create a cup that feels both soothing and quietly luxurious.

What You’ll Need

Equipment

  • Espresso machine, AeroPress, or moka pot

  • Milk steamer or a small saucepan and whisk

  • Grinder (if using whole beans)

  • Your favourite mug

Ingredients

  • 30ml espresso or strong brewed Morning Mist

  • 180ml milk of your choice (dairy, oat, or almond all work)

  • 1 tsp honey (adjust to taste)

  • ¼ tsp ground cinnamon

  • Pinch of ground cardamom

  • Optional: dusting of cinnamon or grated orange zest to top

How to Make It

1. Brew your coffee
Start by pulling a single espresso shot (about 30ml) or making a strong 30ml brew using an AeroPress or moka pot. Morning Mist’s medium-dark roast and citrus brightness really shine in concentrated form.

2. Heat and spice your milk
In a small saucepan, gently heat the milk with the cinnamon, cardamom, and honey, whisking to combine until warm and slightly frothy. (If using a steam wand, mix the spices and honey into the milk beforehand.)

3. Build your latte
Pour the espresso into your favourite mug, then slowly add the spiced milk. Give it a gentle stir to bring everything together.

4. Finish it off
Top with a light dusting of cinnamon—or, for something a bit special, a pinch of fresh orange zest.
